Under pressure, it is not always easy to be cool, so be yourself. We all have natural tonality in our speech. As we talk our natural vocal tone becomes lower when we are sad and higher when excited. In music, some of the best vocalist use their natural vocal range. I.E., Cher, Nat King Cole, Aretha Franklin and Frank Sinatra to name a few.

Constructive Criticism: We cannot see ourselves as others see us. Yes, none of us are perfect nor do we have our hearts in a jar hidden away from pain. Yet, to place yourself in the position to have your work placed under critical analysis, then have the ability to use the findings for self growth is a trait of professionalism.

Mandisa- It's Wonderful; An outstanding performance from a classy performer.
Bucky- Oh Boy; Singing songs from before you were born....oh boy!
Paris- Fever; Hey, Hey, Hey, stand up and pay attention, this young lady is hot!
Chris- Walk the Line; Johnny Cash would be proud.
Katherine- Come Rain or Come Shine; I will buy music made by this singer.
Taylor- Not Fade Away; No, you will not fade away!
Lisa- Why Do Fools Fall in Love; Classic songs, 1950's, baby boom....ring any bells!
Kevin- When I Fall in Love; Excellent Performance.
Elliott- Teach Me Tonight; There you go, There you go, There you go; Wonderful.
Kellie- Walking After Midnight; She walked into her natural rythym.
Ace- In the Still of the Night; Such a beautiful and classic song.

At an early age Stevie Wonder's piano teacher told him to become a piano tuner. Imagine that! On another note; There was a time when I could only find things in books and now I can hide things in books. The internet is cool and so is making time to read a book.

Katherine McPhee; Has the potential to be a 21st century Karen Carpenter with hit after hit after hit song.
Kinnik Sky; Young and versitile with a Gladys Knight look and style.
Lisa Tucker; Big talent in a small package and seemingly gifted beyond what we see on tv.
Melissa McGhee; Excellent and more than that! She could bust Nashville wide open and change music....raw and natural talent, yes!
Heather Cox; Very entertaining and smooth plus a relaxing voice.
Brenna Gethers; Pretty with personality.
Paris Bennett; Amazing beyond her years. She makes you feel her voice....purely precious!
Ayla Brown; A soundtrack movie voice/pleasant and appealing.
Kellie Pickler; Easy on the eyes and ears. Nice and straightforward.
Mandisa; A melodic and appealing voice.

Who is Gedeon McKinney?

Gedeon McKinney is one of the American Idol Final 24! When asked what he thought it takes to be an American Idol his answer was "focus, determination, dedication, discipline and prayer". I feel this is a remarkable statement coming from a young man....but I guess many will come to recognize Gedeon McKinney as more than just a 17 year old high school senior with a 4.0 grade average.

Who would dare ride nine hours on an "if come", "pie in the sky" mission? Well, when the aftermath of hurricane Katrina caused the Memphis, Tennessee American Idol auditions to be cancelled, Gedeon and his mother rode to Chicago, Illinois specifically to the Chicago American Idol auditions for a "try out" against the odds. This Memphis product has already caused many to recognize his unbending intent and purpose-driven style are distinguished by his vocal talent.

It was very refreshing to see Simon Cowell smile and greet American Idol contestants in a pleasant manner. So, he probably does not need bodyguards after all!

Is Paula Abdul looking for love in all the wrong places?

The Bible says, "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the Lord." Proverbs 18:22
So, on that basis, it stands to reason that when a MAN finds a Woman he finds a "good thing" meaning MEN are to find or hunt for a WOMAN and not for Women to find or hunt for a MAN.

For a woman to assume the mans role in a relationship, is this the wrong approach?
