Who is Gedeon McKinney?
Gedeon McKinney is one of the American Idol Final 24! When asked what he thought it takes to be an American Idol his answer was "focus, determination, dedication, discipline and prayer". I feel this is a remarkable statement coming from a young man....but I guess many will come to recognize Gedeon McKinney as more than just a 17 year old high school senior with a 4.0 grade average.Who would dare ride nine hours on an "if come", "pie in the sky" mission? Well, when the aftermath of hurricane Katrina caused the Memphis, Tennessee American Idol auditions to be cancelled, Gedeon and his mother rode to Chicago, Illinois specifically to the Chicago American Idol auditions for a "try out" against the odds. This Memphis product has already caused many to recognize his unbending intent and purpose-driven style are distinguished by his vocal talent.
